I'm stuck! I'm looking for Pafwel and his family, who showed up to Lindasen, Visnum Parish, Varmland between 1700 and 1710. He's listed in the 1710 Mantal (1/4), but not the 1700 Mantal. He died and was buried in Lindasen on 23 Feb 1724.

I'm not finding many with the name Pafwelsson/Pafwelsdotter in Visnum (or variation), nor am I finding in the Visnum birth records children with Pafwel as the father. So, I'm concluding the moved to Lindasen from outside. Where did this family come from?

Two children I know for certain are Sven Pafwelsson (1700-1773) (my line) and Cathrina Pafwelsdotter (1703-). I believe other siblings are Kirsti, Lisbeth, and Sigri. I suspect they were all born between 1690-1705, where the family came to Lindasen right afterwards.

I started looking at birth records of the surrounding areas as Visnum is close to the intersection of Varmland, Orebro, and Skaraborgs Lans. The records are difficult to read (from an English speaking American's point of view!), but I'm still putting out the effort to find this family.
