Hello all.

I'm researching another of my ancestors. This one is Nils Philipsson who was born in Gärdsbol, Nysund, Örebro Lan ("Närke och Värmland") in 1708. However, the baptism entries for Nils and all of his siblings show "Giälsbol" or something that looks like that to me.

Can someone look at a couple of entries and see if I'm looking at the same spelling of the farm, or a variation? I'm sure it's formally Gärdsbol, but would like a second opinion.

There are six families listed Nysund Household Examination Records under the farm Gärdsbol. They are Lars Nilsson (1694), Philip Nilsson (1699), Eric Ericksson (1729), Olof Olsson (1706), Lars Larsson (1724), Hach Svensson (1679), Nils Philipsson (1708), and Anders Philipsson (1717). The first two, Lars and Philip Nilsson, appear to be brothers but are not my line. The last two, Philip and Anders Nilsson, are brothers and are of my line, Philip being my direct ancestor.

Philip’s children, Nils (1708) and Anders (1717): Nils (my line) is listed with his wife Catharina Mattsdotter and children Maria (my line) and Christina. Anders is listed with his wife Maria and children Catharina, Sara, Maria, Philip, and Elias.
