By the time that "Your Swedish Roots" was written, I had already been doing Swedish genealogy for a few years. I think it is a great book for beginners. It goes step by step telling how to use the records.
I used "Cradled in Sweden" as a beginner. It is more detailed than "Your Swedish Roots" but it is a bit complicated for beginners.
I suggest starting with "Your Swedish Roots" and then moving on to "Cradled in Sweden" as you become more experienced.
There is an overview of Swedish genealogy in a booklet called "Tracing Your Swedish Ancestry". This booklet is interesting and free, but you really need a far more detailed guidebook.
There is a link on this site from which you can download "Tracing Your Swedish Ancestry".
