Looking for information on my g-gparents
John Oland Strand (babt 1868),and Laura Berg (babt 1872) who settled in Center, (near Mandan) Oliver County, ND. They migrated from Norway to Minn, and then to ND.
Both are listed on the ND 1910 Census.
John came from Norway as a young man...date unknown, Laura came from Norway at about age 18. Their children were;
Amanda (babt 1893),
George (babt 1893),
Otilia (babt 1897)
Hjalmar 'Jalmer'(babt 1898)
Alfred & Olga (twins babt 1900)
Alund 'Alan'(babt 1904)
Laura (babt 1905)
Gladys (babt 1907)
Lillian & Clara (twins babt 1909).
They farmed near Edgar G. Rickel whose son Clarence married their daughter Otilia.
Information on John & Laura is sketchy at best, as their parents and place of birth in Norway is unknown.
