Great Grandfather immigrated to USA from Norway in 1888 or 1889. Family has never been able to find further info about him prior to immigrating to USA. He settled in Minneota, Minnesota, USA. Any tips on how to proceed? I come up empty in finding out any info before he immigrated to America. We do not know his parents or siblings names.
