According to the 1900 census, Elvina Peterson was born in Norway in Jul 1868 and apparenty arrived in America shortly before her marriage. Edward Peterson/Pederson had already been in the US since 1885 or 1886.

Here are two possibilities.........

Elvina Helgesen, 23 yrs old, left Oslo on 5 Jun 1891 for New York. Her last residence in Norway is listed as "Kr.a." which is "Kristiana (Oslo).
