Alexander was a cousin to my gr grandfather, Peder M. Henricks (Hendrikson). Alexander emigrated to Canada around 1904 or 1905, proved up his homestead, but then returned to Norway, I believe in 1908. We have no information on Alexander either before or after his time in Canada and would like to know who his parents were and which part of the family he belonged to. Naturally if we can find out what happened to him after his return to Norway that would be fantastic. I assume since my gr grandfather was born at Bronnoy that Alexander would be from that area as well.

Since my original posting of this query, I have discovered that Alexander was born in 1834 (approx) and that he had a wife named Janna who was born in 1833. They are recorded on the Minnesota census of 1895 where it showed they had been there since 1887.

Many people from Bjøru, Sømna, took the surname Bjorge in America.
