Hendrik Erlandsen was my gr gr grandfather but on the 1865 census it shows that his wife, Oline Olsdatter is remarried to Hans Andreassen. Oline's mother Henrikke Andersdatter is living with the family at Reinfjord Lille (127b). This is the same farm where my gr grandfather, Peder Myre (Henricks) Hendriksen was born to Hendrik and Oline in 1843. I am wondering if anyone can help me find out more about him...when was he born, obviously when he died (it must have been between 1852 and 1865), who his parents were, did he have any siblings etc. I would also love to receive any information anyone might have about my gr gr grandmother Oline. Although my gr grandfather, Peder, and his brother and sister all emigrated to North America, Oline did not follow and after the 1875 census she is no longer at Reinfjord... What became of her? My gr grandfather Peder was appointed Norwegian Vice-Consul for Saskatchewan around 1917, he returned to Norway for an audience with King Haaken in 1922 and visited with some relatives while he was there. At that time he was made a Knight of the Order of St Olaf. There was a newspaper article written about him at that time and I had a copy but someone borrowed it and lost it.

You can consult the birth/baptism, confirmation, marriage and death records in the Brønnøy church books. Those records can be used on LDS microfilm or from the online scanned images.

Henrik Erlandsen born 1790 died 1859. Married in 1815 Karen Marie Hermansdatter. Karen Marie born 1788 died 2. Oct 1841. She drowned herself. Herik married Oline Olsdatter in 1842. Oline was the daughter of Ole Nilsen og Henrika Andersdatter, Bjøru, Sømna. Oline born. 1816 died 1892.

Oline had a girl before she got married to Henrik.

Oline married Hans Edvard Andreassen.

2) Sirianna Helene born 1818 died 24. Aug 1841. Married 1841 Hans Henrik Johannessen, Holand, Sømna. Lived at Sømhovd, Sømna.
3) Hans Busch born 1820 died 1893. Married 1845 Maren Johanna Jørgensdatter. Lived at Vestaberg, Sømna.
4) Elen Birgitte born 1827 died 1857. Not married.

Children (Henrik and Oline):
1) Peder Myhre born 1843 died 1933.
2) Hartvig Kristian Kornelius born 1846 died 1881-1892. Emigrated to US in 1869. Married Mine Johanna Andreasdatter (from Rodal). Lived near Fisher, Polk, MN.
3) Helbertine Onora born 1852 died 1941.

Peder Myhre Henriksen married in 1866 Inger Hermine Johansdatter. Inger born 1834 died 1918. Inger was the daughter of JOhan Andreas Nilsen and Anne Hansdatter, Baustad ytre, Sømna. The family emigrated to US in 1869.

Peder had a child outside wedlock. Julie Kristine born 1862, died 1 day old. The mother was Anne Johanna Larsdatter.

CHildren (Peder and Inger):
1) Henrik Jæger Fyhn born 1866 died 1866, six days old.
2) Julie Fyhn born 1867 died about 1869
3) Paul born about 1874 MN died 1949. Married Signe Blomquist 1904.
4) Amalie born 1876 MN died 1967, married 1905 Henry Henrickson.
5) Henrik (Henry) born 1878 MN died about 1903
6) Dina born 1880 MN.

Erland Torgersen born 1759 died 1824. Parents Torgeir Olsen and Alette Sjursdatter, Bø, Sømna. Erland married Anne Elsebe Olsdatter in 1788. In 1804 he married Berit Ingebrigtsdatter (who died in 1832, 74 years).

Children (Erland and Alette):
1) Kristense born 1789 died 1847 (lived at Toft)
2) Henrik born 1790 died 1859
3) Andreas born 1797 died 1880 (lived at Trælnes)

There already exists bygdebok for Sømna. If you get hold of them, you can find more about your ancestors.
