Surnames: Danielsen, Christophersen, Kristofersen, Jacobsen,Torgersen Baekk
Seeking information RE residents of VAAG Farm, Nesna, in mid-1800's -- Specifically Daniel Christophersen (Kristofersen) and his sons, daughters, Andreas Danielsen, Elias Danielsen. Ole Danielsen, Carsten K. M. Danielsen (aka Karsten Mork), Maren Danielsdatter, Anne E. Danielsdatter. Know that Daniel Kristofersen born in Alstadhaugs, Nordland about 1799, son of Christopher Jacobsen and Maren Danielsdatter -- Christopher was apparently son on Jacob Christophersen and Karen Johansdatter.
Daniel's first wife and mother of aboved-named children apparently was Mathilda Torgersen Baek, about whom we know nothing. Daniel's second wife may have been Anne N. Lange. Would like additional information. Understand that someone reportedly had traced family back to Austria several generations earlier, but I can find nothing earlier than Alstadhaugs.
Have some information about my ggrandfather Carsten (Danielsen) Mork, but seek information about brothers Ole and Elias Danielsen, both who traveled to US 15 April 1869 -- Carsten and his wife Emelie Olesdatter left Trondheim 1 July 1869 with sister Maren and her husband Peter Olai Iversen for US, using farm name "WAAG" (for VAAG) as their surnames, obviously to keep us on our toes.
Would appreciate any help.
