John Fredriksen was born c. 1811 "in Haevne, now Fryhamna".
That's all I have on his birth date and place. Does anyone recognize these village names that were located in the Edoy District? I can't find them on any map on line.

As an adult, John Fredriksen was a fisherman of Vielholmen. He married Olava Birgette Andreasdatter on 26 July 1846 at the Hopen Church.
