I’m looking for information or a contact regarding Grazvydas Joseph “Joe” Lazauskas (1914-2003) who lived in the Chicago area. He emigrated from Lithuania to the USA after serving in the military. His father and my great grandfather Anthony were brothers. My side of the family always lived in Pennsylvania and over the years, the families lost contact with each other. I understand that Joe was active in various Lithuanian organizations and I have a little more information for anyone that can help.

In particular, what I am seeking is the ancestral village and family history in Lithuania. It appears that my great grandfather never became a naturalized citizen and his origin and family information were not recorded. The information that I do have is too vague and incomplete for me to hire a genealogist in Lithuania. So I’m hoping that through Joe I can gather enough information to get me to Lithuania.
