I so desperatly want to try to learn anything I can about my grandfather, Harold Kurtz' parents, Louis & Rachel Edith Galembo Kurtz from Riga Latvia. Harold Kurtz was born 1900-02 in Riga Latvia while country was under rule of Russia. My understanding is he and & his 2 siblings, Mary & Albert came to the US with his maternal grandparents Mendel & Leba Capelusnick Galembo between 1906-09 because his mother had died and possibly his dad remarried someone who did not want the children. Therefore, the reason maternal grandparents became their guardians. This is the story that has been past. But if anyone can help me learn anything or give me an address to write or call to see if someone can help me with research on my grandfather's parents, i would so appreciate it.
