Thank you Acelmina, I was just trying to figure out anything possible. This has been a HUGE brick wall for me for well...since i have been married to my husband. "-) I know there was a story about the "i" being removed or replaced from one of the uncles that has long been gone. Where are you finding the Saldus records with these spellings? I have been trying to get in touch with a genealogist near Saldus to help me with my search.
