I am looking for names, birth and death dates, places of birth/lived, everything about Hans Hanson's ancestors (his father and mother, their fathers and mothers, children, etc). I am trying to trace his line back to the 900s. I wanted to see if we are REALLY related to Leif Erickson (Eric the Red) as this is a family story passed down to my father. I wanted to see if we are related to the Vikings.

I found and touched Hans Hanson's grave at Enterprise cemetery in Ferndale, WA. in Nov. 2011 while doing field work at the 7-Eleven in Ferndale, WA. Ferndale is 2 hours north of Bellevue/Redmond, WA where I live and work. I am a geologist and I work at an environmental consulting firm. My client is 7-Eleven, Inc. Retail petroleum work.

I also found the obituary that my other ancestor wrote in the Blaine Journal in 1928 for Hans Hanson and this helped me find his grave at findagrave.org back in Nov. 2010. My other ancester was John Sheets who was the editor of the Blaine Journal and he is buried in the Blaine,WA. cemetery.
