I am not a NISKANEN or HUUMO descendent. However, my grandmother was an orphan and was often cared for by Alem and Sylvia NISKANEN/NISKINEN in New York City. Later the family had a farm that my grandmother believes was in Spencer NY.

My great grandfather appears to have been named Antti Niskanen but changed his name when he married my ggrandmother, Johanna Martimo. I haven't been able to find anything out about his parents or family before that date. They lived in Simo, Finland.

I do not have this last name. But id it help my great aunt was married to a Bill (Billy?) Niwkanen who was from Finland.
