Hi,
I have found the ship that my grandparents, John Lundman and Hulda Sand Lundman came over from England in 1909 and landed in Boston, Mass. The name of their ship was the Saxonia. He was born in 1881 and she was born in 1889. They both were Swedish, but born and lived in Waasa, or Vaasa, aka Mustasaari, Finland. John's brother, Isaac came over in 1891 and found property in Dollar Bay, Michigan, USA. I've been told that John came over first alone around 1899, then went back to Vaasa to marry Hulda Sand and return to the USA and lived the rest of their lives in Dollar Bay, Michigan. So, that's as far as I can get. I am looking for any birth records, marriage records, or the ship that John came over the first time in 1899. Can you help? I would most appreciate any information that you might find. Also Hulda Sand's family had two farms at the time of her life in Vaasa. She had a large family, 5 brothers and 4 sisters, two brothers died at a young age. There may still be some Sand or Lundman relatives there in the area. That would certainly be wonderful to find out too. Thanks for your time.
