This was one of my g/grandfathers who fought for Napoleon in his cavalry around 1800's. He fought at the battle of Belyn.
He wasFfrench and was in a prisoner of war camp in Scotland around 1813, because he fathered a child called Joseph Logree with a Mary Spiers. I believe the prisoner of war camp was at Lauder in Scotland. I do not have any record of their marriage but he returned to France and married and had a family over there. He died in 1840 in Somme.
