Found possible family match in 1850 census record describes father as Husmand og vejmand.
I'm wondering if I have found right family, daughter not born till 1857 but no more online census returns. On her death certificate father described as shire clerk. Until I can check mircofilm of later census returns or parish register to make positive identification I was wondering what "vejmand" is and can it in anyway be described as a clerk position or a position from which he might have become a clerk in the future.
Any suggestions most welcome.
