I have just returned from Vavau where I saw my daughter and granddaughter.My daughter lives in the village of Utul with her boyfriend. His great grandfather was a (J)? Lynch and Pita thinks he was Scottish.Pita`s grandmother is about 80 and is the daughter of Lynch. Unfortunatley she is in NZ at the moment. There are some people still living in the village with the surname-Lynch. I would like to know where this Lynch came from,what he was doing in Tonga in the 1920s and was he from an old established family on the islands? This might not be so as Pita thinks he was from scotland. Any infromation would be most welcome. Thank you
