Hon. Penisimani Latuselu Kahomovailahi was the son of the Hon. Nunufaa'ikea Tuita Kahomovailahi of the TUITA nobility line and HRH Princess Paluleleva Mulikiha'amea of the Tu'iHa'atakalaua Dynasty. When the TUITA title became more predominant in Tongan nobility, the grandchildren of Kahomovailahi Tuita, used a shortened 'KAHO' as their family name. Penisimani's 1st cousin Siaosi Ulukivaiola Tuita became the sole holder of the Tuita title and his descendant today, The Hon. Captain Ma'ulupekotofa Tuita is the current holder, who is also the husband of HRH Princess Pilolevu. The Hon. Penisimani Latuselu KAHO later became a Reverend of the Wesleyan Church of Tonga. The Hon. Penisimani Latuselu first married Kasalaine Fakaheka Vaka of Niuatoputapu. They had 2 daughters: The Hon. Kasanita Noa'isiapua Kaho and The Hon. Ngalu'afefine Ma'u Kaho. The Hon. Kasanita Noa'isiapua had a child with Aminiasi Fonovai of Niuatoputapu: Hon. Mele Polotu Fonovai. After that relationship ended, The Hon. Kasanita Noa'isiapua married Taniela Faka'anga Langi, who was the son of Mosese Puakahetau Langi, the Chief Lasike at the time. The Hon. Kasanita Noa'isiapua and Taniela had 11 children:
1. Hon. Ana Ha'ofanga Langi
2. Hon. Losa Heimoana Langi
3.Hon. Teuteufaiva Langi
4. Hon. Amelia Asi Langi
5. Hon. Asikuila Langi
6. Hon. Mele Finaukovi Langi
7. Hon. Mele Fifita Langi
8. Hon. Penisimani Latuselu Langi
9. Hon. Alekisanita Maomaokihelotu Langi
10. Hon. Ma'u Mounu Langi
11. Hon. Kaveinga Langi
These are his descendents from his first union.
On his travels the Hon. Penisimani Latuselu Kaho met a second partner who was Naulongo'akau Luifalefisi (a descendant of the Tu'itonga bloodine). From this union he had 2 sons and 2 daughters:
1. Hon. Sione Latuselu
2. Hon. Mele Muimui Latuselu
3. Hon. Tiliti Latuselu
4. Hon. 'Ilaise Latuselu
These children carried the Latuselu name as it wasn't uncommon to take upon your father's name as your last name. The descendants of the LATUSELU name originate from this line.
Lastly the Hon. Penisimani Latuselu married his 1st cousin The Hon. 'Ilaisa'ane Tupou'ahau, daughter of HRH Prince Fatukimotulalo Maealiuaki of the Tu'i Kanokupolu/Tu'i Ha'atakalaua dynasties. The practice of the royal family throughout history has been to marry relatives with close blood ties in order to keep the royal blood in tact. This practice has been going on for centuries and although this was a common practice, many royal family members and nobles frowned upon this marriage. As Penisimani was Tupou'ahau's cousin through her father and his mother, that made Penisimani the 'fahu' on Tupou'ahau. To simply disrespect a marriage proposal or union from your 'fahu' or 'Mehikitanga's son' was not the easiest thing to do. Such a marriage from such distinct bloodlines TU'IKANOKUPOLU and TU'IHA'ATAKALAUA and TU'IHA'ATEIHO coming from both Penisimani Latuselu and 'Ilaisa'ane Tupou'ahau caused an uproar within the Royal family and the Aristocracy. This wasn't an attempt to gain power but some members of the royal family and aristocracy felt threatened by their union. With this union, Penisimani and Tupou'ahau had one daughter: The Hon. Sosi'ani Tongovua Tae Manusa. She was perhaps the highest ranking tongan royal woman alive after the death of the last Tamaha. She first married Sioeli Kivalu, holder of the Ma'atu title. They had 3 children:
1. Hon. Sione Panuve Ma'atu
2. Hon. Ofa-ki-Vava'u Ma'atu
3. Hon. Ma'afu'otu'itonga Ma'atu
The Hon. Sosi'ani Tongovua Tae Manusa married second, Tevita Ula Afuha'amango. With this union they had 3 daughters:
1. Hon. Vika Kaufusi Afuha'amango Fulivai
2. HM Queen Ana Seini Takipo Afuha'amango Tupou
3. Hon. Mele Liumeitupou Muimui Kovi-'a-Tuku'aho Afuha'amango Kaho.
The Hon. Vika Kaufusi Afuha'amango Fulivai had 1 daughter and 2 sons:
1. Tupou Maluhola (daughter of Tupou II)
2. Tevita 'Alamoti Taumoepeau
3. Aisea Ika Fa'a'oa Fulivai
HM Queen Ana Seini Takipo Afuha'amango Tupou had 2 daughters with HM King George Tupou II: HRH Princess 'Onelua and HRH Princess 'Elisiva Fusipala Tauki'onetuku.
The Hon. Mele Liumeitupou Muimui Kovi-'a-Tuku'aho Afuha'amango Kaho married Soape Kaho, younger brother of the Noble Tuivakano, and minister of police of Tonga. She had no children, but 'adopted' many. Including 'Ofa Veikune, the wife of Lala Veikune, holder of the VEIKUNE title, also Tu'imala Kaho, the Nightingale of Tonga, and others.
