Classification: Biography
Surnames: WARLAND, WARREN, PATTEN, COOK.
Henry Warland was convicted at Dorchester in 1845 and sentenced to 7 years transportation. He sailed to Van Diemens Land on the "China", The China sailed 1 Jan 1846 and arrived 16 May 1846 in Norfolk Island. He later sailed on the Lady Franklin in Jan 1849. Destination unknown. He was the recipent of a Ticket of Leave and finally a Pardon.
Henry is unknown as to his parents or spouse prior to his conviction and so far his destination or life after NI.
There are strong possibilities that he is related to my family and returned to England but desparately need information from anyone researching Warlands of Dorset, Warrens, Pattens and Cook families
