Patrick O'Connor was born in c1857 Sligo Ireland. With a brother, he was smuggled out of Ireland away from Police. Patrick came to NZ and the brother went to America?
Patrick married Mary Ann Williams in Riverton 1876. He was a bootmaker. From Riverton he went to Ashburton and I presume from records he had a shop. He died 1938 in Ashburton.
I have him with 11 children from 1877 to 1895. Charles, William Patrick, Michael Joseph, Mary Ellen, Thomas Arthur, Winifred Ann, Hugh John, Francis Owen, Edward Sylvester, Percy Frederick, and James Percy.
Anyone out there that can add information to this family for me.
