Wow thanks. We have been searching everywhere for information - all I could locate was Joe Louis' naturalisation record and a record for Joseph Lewis, believe he was his son?

I am waiting on his death certificate to find out more information, but I don't know what that will show yet.

My great-grandad, Henry Joseph Lewis, it seems moved to Auckland and kept separate from the rest of the family. His wife also died very young and my grandad Henry Allan Lewis was raised in an orphanage we have been told - so we lost a lot of that information.
