I am looking for the descendants of a William Atkinson born in Pukerimu, Waikato circa 1876. According to the information I have so far collated:-

1) His parents were called William Atkinson (1830-1905), dairy farmer born in Gownleyfoot Nth Yorkshire and Elizabeth Atkinson nee Burton who died in 1924. This couple married in Ripon, England before they emigrated to NZ where their children were born. William Atkinson (1830-1905) was brother to my 2 x Great Grandfather and he had 2 sisters and 7 brothers.
2) William Atkinson (1876-1953) married a Marie Thomas in Nelson, NZ circa 1908.
3) At the time of his death he was living at 47, Commerce Street, Hamilton.
4) He was a Salvation Army Officer at the time of his death.
5) He had 3 living children at the time of his death, 1 son born circa 1918 and 2 daughters born circa 1916 and 1913.
6) According to his gravestone he also had another son called William who died 29 June 1929 aged 18 so born circa 1911.

I am writing a history of this fammily for an exhibition to be held in Nth Yorkshire in October 2010 called "Those who left the Dales" so would love to be contacted by any living members of this family if they read this message.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who is aware of any descendants of this man.
