Guam during and after WWII

Hello! I am looking for information/records pertaining to civilian arrivals to Guam during and after WWII. I was told that my Grandfather departed the US and went to work as a civilian contractor in Guam sometime in the mid-1940s. He was a carpenter by trade. We know he worked construction, perhaps rebuilding government facilities on Guam after the war? Hoping a history buff can help me find out the duration of his stay and what work he may have performed.
Thanks so much!
