Thanks for replying to my post. I have googled the guy,read books from the university library,read the St John Genealogy, read articles on the Trove site, followed the thread that you mentioned and even have corresponded with certain contributors to the thread.
Samuel's daughter Annie Sophia is my husband's great grandmother. We have a beautiful photo of her and photos of her children. Recently someone added her photo to their tree.
I am hoping to find out the connection, unfortunately their tree is private.
Annie Sophia is quite dark and exotic. I guess I am wanting to find out the impossible in that no one can tell me about Samuel's first marriage. Was his wife Fijian, what happened to her. Annie would have been in her teens when Samuel married Seru Tuituba. Did the children from his 1st marriage live with them and do any descendants of the 2nd marriage have long lost photos or stories that have been passed down. That sort of thing, really hard to find, probably impossible.
