Robert Galway Holmes elder son of Sarah Holmes and 2nd son of John Fitzjames Galway Holmes was born in 1899 in Dublin.

I am trying desparetly to find any information on Fredrick Hartnoll Mitchell he travelled here to Western Australia around 1914 with wife Beatrice nee Hookway and Two daughters Olive and Dorothy from England, Beatrice died a year later but they had another child called Gwendoline Sarah around 1914 in Western Australia. I have found fred and Gwendoline in the Western Australian electol rolls in 1936 in Subiaco he was a hairdresser, but I would really like to know if she married. We are having a reunion soon and we would love to know if there are any families out there related to them. I can't find them in a tree either. I hope someone out there can HELP.

Joseph Moore joined the RAF in Aberdeen circa 1957 and worked as a senior aircraftman. Stationed in Germany, and Kenya, Africa in 1958/9.

Joe also worked at some point as a journalist.

I am Joseph's eldest child seeking any information that would lead me to connect with my Father Joe Moore.

Joseph Moore and Rhoda Gow married 1954 in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

Recent GRO research revealed many anomalies.
One of which is Rhoda Moore nee Gow had three children registered under the surname of "Moore" and one registered under surname of Rhoda's 2nd marriage in the surname of "Clark".

I am trying to trace my grandfather HARRY LYON MANSFORD who claims he was born in England between 1882 - 1889 depending on either his marriage, death certificate or army enlistment papers. He married Beulah Wright in 1927. The earliest record I have for Harry is the WA census of 1906 where he was listed as a cook in Coolgardie. My dad, remembers been told that Harry ran away from home (england) when he was barely a teen and came to Aust. (?NSW?WA)as a crew member of ??? ship and jumped ship in Freemantle. I have been trying to trace Harry for many years now and Im starting to think he doesn't want me to find him..... any tips would be appreciated.

David Edward Morgan emigrated from Wales to WA in July 1910. His wife (Eleanor Jackson)and their 3 children (Islwyn Eglyn, Edward Jackson and Hesketh Wynne Morgan) followed shortly afterwards. I know that David Edward Morgan died in Albany on 23 Nov 1940 and that Hesketh Wynne Morgan married a Clara L Collier in about 1937. Their last known address was Magiwirrup, Cranbrook WA.
I am trying to find out if there are any surviving members of the Morgan family. Can anyone advise on the best way of tracing the family please?

G'Day

I am after the shipping records for an Elsie Woolley born 1891 in New Barnet Hertsfordshire England. Elsie arrived in Western Aus in 1911 with her parents and siblings. Now the family story is that she left Western Aus under a bit of a cloud on the ship the "Strathnover" between 1930 - 1940.

I am unable to find any info on her and as I have found all my grandfathers siblings except her I would love to trace her life.

I am researching my ggggrandfather John Lock(e) who emigrated to Australind, Western Australia (later settled in Wonnerup/Busselton WA at "Lockeville") in 1842 from Bath, Sommerset, UK with his wife Maria (Bavage) and their children John, Henry, Charlotte and Elizabeth. John and his son Henry had a merchant trading business in Moka St, Port Louis, Mauritius. They both died there, John in 1862 (aged 63) and Henry in 1880 (aged 57). Maria died at Lockeville WA aged 86? Would like to hear from anyone connected to the Locke family in WA but any info would be greatly appreciated.

One of my partner's aunties is proving a bit of a mystery.

Born, Victoria, 1899.
Married, Victoria 1924, to William Hope.

As far as we know she didn't have any children, but moved to the West at some time (where she'd lived as a small child).

Her husband died in 1951 in Vic, and his death cert. states 'Married' Unknown.

WA burial site search found a Hilda May Hope (AKA). Age and religion match.

The story goes my grand-father Roy Lendrum was an Ems before he was adopted by the Lendrum family. I am trying to locate any information regarding my grandfather George Simmons born about 1883. He joined the AIF in Feb 1916 Service Record No 6194 in WA when he was 33 years old, and was re subscribed in Enoggera Q'ld May 1916. He stated on his army records that he was born in Fremantle WA (although the family thinks this is incorrect as he may have had an accent) He named his NOK as his brother William. He married in London in 1918 to Christina Barbara Mary DeBree. They had a son Geo Stanley in 1919 and they sailed on the Hororata in 1920 for Australia, setteling in North Sydney NSW and having another 7 children. There names are Geo Stanley b1919, Nell Louisa b1921, twins Robert Frederick & Christina Elizabeth b1922, Thomas William b1924 Jean May b1925, Mary b1926, & John b?. The family thinks he named many of the chn after his siblings.
His daughter recalls him saying he had a sister named Mary, another brother named Richard who settled in the USA, and the brother William as listed on his army records.
She also recalls when she was about 16 yrs old an army friend of George her father saying she had inherited the Nordic look.
We have come to a brick wall trying to locate any information about him.
Any information would be greatly appriciated. I am trying to attach the only picture of him we have, I hope it works!!

I wonder if you are able to find anything on a Marriage for Mabel Florence McGaffin or Mabel Florence Foale (first marriage) and Archibald John Smith. Believe they were married in WA but it could have been SA. Maybe they were never married. We were led to believe they married in Boulder. He died in Ora Banda in Jan 1914. Can't find anything on his birth either, because as you can imagine, Smith is such a common name when there are no living relatives that we know of, to question.

I'm looking for any information on 2 brothers who moved to WA in 1924 aboard the SS Orsova.

Richard John McDonald (may be spelt MacDonald) born 1/8/1895 in Dumfries, Scotland. He was more commonly known as "Dick" before he left Scotland. We know from his brothers WWII Army Enlistment records that he war residing in the Jarrahdale area in 1941.

Thomas Alexander McDonald (again may be spelt MacDonald) born 29/6/1897 in Dumfries, Scotland. He was known as "Tom" before he left Scotland. In 1941 he enlisted in the Australian Army, and was discharged the following year after serving at Rottnest Island. His army will was delivered to him in Bencubbin in 1946.

We do not know if either of them married, but someone from Australia made a trip back to Scotland looking for their relatives, which my family heard about after they had gone back to Australia.

If anything jogs anyones memory or you have any family in Jarrahdale or Bencubbin, please ask if they have heard of them. These to brothers have been missing from our family for far too long.

Kitty Smith and her children moved to W.A. sometime around WWII. Husband's name was Michael I believe but I don't know if he went with them. They had spent some time in London as well, living with my grandmother Mollie, who was Kittie's younger sister.

Lottie Louisa Alice Hood emigrated to Australia in 1924 aboard the Bendigo, with her husband William George Hood, and two children Stanley and Edward.

My Grandmother their only daughter was left behind in England and never saw her family again. My mother and I would like to trace any remaining family in Australia.
