Surnames: Primrose, Patterson, Robertson, Conyers, Hayes, Slattery, Cornell, Jacob, Vallis, Jones, Rippon, Berry, Chapman, Clark, Finning/Fanning/Fenning, Felstead, O'Brien, Hadden, Maltby, McDonald, Bren, White, Grierson. Hardisty, Peeler plus many more :)
GGGrandmas three brothers went to Kalgoorlie in the late 1800's, they were miners. Two married over there and i'm told their families are still there. I have many photos of these unknown relatives and also many photos of mines in Kalgoorlie back in that time. Their names were Oliver HADDEN, Gilbert HADDEN and Robert Carlile HADDEN. They also had a brother Arthur whom we think might have gone to Kalgoorlie also. Oliver was there in 1898, as i have a postcard sent to GGGrandma dated 1898. They were from the Omeo district of Victoria (Beechworth). I'm also told they may have had relatives in Kalgoorlie that's why they went over there. BDM records only go back to 1905 in Western Australia, well thats the disc i have. Is their any records only after that? Does anyone know these HADDEN's?
I would love to get in touch and find out who all these good looking relatives are in my photos.

Any help would be much appreciated. I have looked in the white pages and rung a few HADDEN's in WA but they're not related. I cannot find any in Kalgoorlie?

Hi again Kate

I guess you already have the births, deaths and marriages from the W A Pioneers' Index 1841 - 1905. You mentioned that you have a disc. It is also available online at http://www.justice.wa.gov.au

Also, have a look at: http://www.ww2roll.gov.au/

There are some Haddens there who may be related. The following almost certainly would be yours:

Arthur Campbell HADDEN b. 27 Sep 1910 Kalgoorlie
Donald Carlyle HADDEN b. 8 May 1924 Kalgoorlie
Robert Carlisle HADDEN b. 28 Jun 1926 Norseman
Robert HADDEN b. 22 Sep 1900 Kalgoorlie

You will also find some cemetery records that may be of interest at http://www.mcb.wa.gov.au

Best wishes, Rachel

Hi Kate
We are newcomers to internet genealogy and came across your site for information on the Haddens in WA. My husband Richard Newman is a grandson of Robert Carlile Hadden. We have a heap of information on the Hadden families, mainly due to the work of Robert Hadden( also a grandson) and his wife. We see your gggrandmother was the youngest sister, Sibella. Would love to hear from you to exchange any information.Barbara and Richard Newman

Hi Barbara & Richard,
Great to hear from you. Sorry in my late reply but i've been very busy with work this week. Robert Carlile Hadden? He's the one who married Isabella Brathwaite if i can remember rightly as i don't have the information in front of me right now? I think i have a few photos of them? I have many photos of the Haddens as it seems Sibella was quite a collector! I also have a few copies of photos of Gilbert and Jane Hadden. I would love to exchange information with you. You can email me on finningfamily@iinet.net.au or on the phone (03) 54721855. I do have my information on the computer and can export to gedcom or text files. I use Legacy Family History Program.
Thanking you Kindly for your reply.
Kate
