I found in the Otago Witness 5.11.1886 the following article on a member of my family ,need help on how I can get any information on his case.

Charles WOODWARD of the WOODWARD brothers acrobatists now engaged at the Victoria Hall was brought before the City Bench on Saturday for wife desertion. The case was remanded to the District Court.Also who may hold old records for the Victoria Hall.Have no information on Charles he also was a member of the Harmston Circus .
