Donald Forbes born about 1847 Scotland. Obituary states he came to Australia as a child aged about 5 therefore about 1851. Only clue I have to his father in a brief newspaper article in The Argus 11/8/1884.

"eldest son of the late Alexander Forbes of Essendon".

Donald Forbes married Rachel Wood 30/7/1884 at her mother's home (The Essendon Hotel). Donald died in WA 1925 and Rachel died WA 1933.

Rachel's parents were William Wood 1811-1866 and Mary Reynolds bd unknown died 1906. She ran the Essendon Hotel after her husband's death.

However, there is no family or family records to help me and I cannot find any more about them.
