Yes, everything seems to fit. Namely his age, the number of years he was a colonist and being a vagrant as he died of congestion of the liver. I believe he died in the Melbourne Benevolent Asylum which I think was in the ward of Gipps, East Melbourne.

Now the task ahead is to try to find a daughter in STH. AUS.
