I have been tracing for years, with no success, James Russell Smith (B@1833 place unknown) and Ann Heaney (B@1836, Edenderry, Ireland according to death cert) who settled in hotham, North Melbourne around 1867-68. They have 3 children buried in the Melbourne General Cemetery, with 4 children surviving (James Henry, Elizabeth, George and Ellen). There is no listing of marriage in VIC nor in NZ as stated on Ann's death cert in 1919, NSW BDM.
Ann and her children ended up in suburbs around south eastern sydney, but I have no idea about James. I can not locate a death cert in Victoria or NSW, as without a marriage cert, a search on James Smith's death is impossible without a hint on his parent's names.
If you can pls help me, I would be so happy.
