thanks so much for your reply. Unfortunately it is the wrong one. Our reg was married to a Francis. His son is the Lawrence we are looking for and seems to have vanished. Our Reg is buried in Stawell, Lawrence went to Geelong and ran a newsagency. if stillalive, he would be about 70ish I have called every thornton in the phone book to no avail. he also had a brther called Graham who died quite young in a car accident.
