I have been emailed a discussion by Dr Perry who is researching the Irish Famine girls. In it you say Catherine had a child at 45 and Agnes Fitzgerald was present and perhaps she was the mother. She was not. Agnes was my great grandmother SHE WAS A MIDWIFE. So it is quite concievable she was present when her mother gave birth. Her married name was Anne Agnes DATE.
She had a daughter Vera who married Harold Higginbotham -they had a daughter Esme who is my mum (now dead). Vera and granny date were always ladies - wore hat and glove to go out and very strong catholics.

Hi,
That Irish Famine site is nothing more than a collection of research done by various people/family members and given to the site. Some of the "research" has been done very shabbily and I have previously queried and supplied correct info and certs that have never been added or updated to the site.

I'd just ignore anyone using those types of sites as their "source" of data and research.
