Hi Syd,
Bendigo Advertiser, Thursday, 6 April 1912:
OBITUARY.
The funeral of the late Mrs. Ann Brown took place yesterday, leaving the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. William J. Pearce, Murray-road, Huntly, for the Goornong Cemetery. The respect in which the de- ceased lady was held was plainly shown by the large attendance of sorrowing friends, many of whom came from Muskerry. The casket, strewn with beautiful white floral tributes, was carried from the residence to the hearse by Messrs. T. Sargeant, J. Paul, A. Jenkin, and P. Manderson, and from the cemetery gates to the grave, in the Methodist section, by Messrs. J. Fortune, T. Knight, P. Bourke, and J. L. Knight. The Rev. R. B. Roberts conducted impres- sive services, both at the residence, prior to the funeral, and at the grave. Mr. W. Farmer, of McCrae-street, was the under- taker. The late Mrs. Brown died last Wednesday after a short illness. She was 72 years of age, and formerly lived at Mus- kerry East, where she was well known and highly respected. An adult family is left to mourn its sad loss.
