Hi I am trying to follow up on the above person born 1794 Yorkshire. He married Elizabeth North in 1822 in Yorkshire and was transported to Tasmania in 1839 aboard the Marquis Hastings. I have documents and transcripts of the transportation and the trial and his ticket of leave along with his conditional pardon, but would love to find out what happened to him in Australia.I have managed to find 2 documents of deaths which I have attached. One states a ship which i presume is the transportation ship but this doesn't match the information I have. the other in 1850 states an occupation I can not read properly but think one of the words says surgeon but he was a sheriffs bailiff in Yorkshire.
I have another one from 1882 which states he died in Hobart and was born in England and he was a gardener at the time of death.
Any help in trying to find out what happened to him in Tasmania would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance
Steve
