I stumbled across your old posting and wondered if you were still interested in hearing from other Goodwin descendants.

I have only been researching my family tree for about 6 months, and was excited to find that we had a direct link to the First Fleeters Andrew Goodwin and Letitia (Lydia) Munroe.

It took me some time to work it out though, as the Goodwin's changed their name to Gooding, and although I felt sure there was some relationship between my great grandmother Lucy Clara Gooding and Andrew Goodwin, it was at first difficult to confirm.

My ggrandmother was the daughter of Andrew Goodwin/Gooding and Margaret White. Andrew Goodwin/Gooding was the son of Andrew Goodwin and Lydia Hines (who was quite a character in her own right!).

Lucy married Thomas Crabtree, and their daughter Elsie May Crabtree married my grandfather Charles Wallace Victor Connors .. you may like to add these surnames to your list of descendants.

Anyway, I have managed to gather quite a bit of information about our ancestors, although probably nothing more than is available publicly through the internet and books.

I would be happy to hear from others interested in exchanging information, or just wanting to touch base with some distant relatives :)
