Update: Have discovered (thru another descendant in Hobart) that David King's wife Isabel and children, James, Helen, Elizabeth, John, and David resided in Hobart. Another son, Richard was born in Hobart in 1840.

David snr served in the 51st Regisment from 11 July 1816 (on disbanding of 101st Reg) to 24 October 1848. He was discharged to a Chelsea Pension on 24 Oct 1843. Army records state he died 18 October 1848. Looking for evidence of death/buriel.

It is possible that John King (who m Anne Fitzgerald in 1871 at Hurdle Creek Station) and his brothers James & David travelled on the "Eucalyptus" departing Hobart for Melbourne 20 Mar.1852. Seeking further information on their whereabouts between 1852 and 1871. John was a carpenter/builder. Have done no research yet on James and David.

hi
I am willing to do look ups on the BDM index for Tas & Vic on your King lines, to see if I can come up with anything for you. First off I need to know what children of David King & Isabel (McIntosh)that you have and or any marriages
Cheers Marg
