Trying to find descendents/ancestors for an elderly gentleman, Harold James Peter ABRAHAMS, son of Hans Thorold ABRAHAMS and Lily Rose Pretoria CLAYTON (dau of James CLAYTON and Rose Anna STREET). The families were located in the Fingal area, Tasmania, from around 1850's onward.

Hi Maureen,
I am also looking for the Abrahams family from the North of the State. I have William Henry Hallam marrying Henrietta Enid Abrahams. At the present time this is all I have other than they lived at Blessington. I have an old town directory which lists Abrahams, Albert & Augustus, farmers and Abrahams, Ludwig, farmer. If you have come across Henrietta or her parents would love to hear from you

Hi Sue,
I think that I may be able to help with this old query. Ludwig Abrahams emigrated from Danzig (Gdansk) in about 1870 with his wife and small family. Albert and Augustus were two of his sons. The family had farms around Blessington but the parents moved to Bruny Island. Ludwig died in 1916 and is buried on Bruny Island alongside his wife. I dont have all the details here with me, but can fill you in a bit more.
Regards, Ian Anderson

Hi Ian,
Would be grateful for any information you have on this family. I knew they came from Blessington but that's about it. Albert's daughter, Henrietta Enid married William Henry Hallam. My home email is
