I have been researching the Raftery family in South Australia. Most of the Raftery's living in S.A. are descendants from one family who emigrated from Westmeath, Ireland. James b.c 1829, Edward b.c. 1833, Bridget b.c. 1836, William b.c. 1838 and Rose b.c. 1840. Their father was Patrick Raftery who did not emigrate.
Any information relating to the Raftery connection in Westmeath and Raftery's in South Australia would be greatly appreciated.

There is a John who arrives 29 APRIL 1858 on Storm Cloud..

There are other RAFTERY arriving Mary in 1876, Kate 1877, Luke and Margaret in 1880.
