John Cochran b.June 07 1818, don't know where or who parents were, married Mary Kate McNulty b.Dec.15 1848, Aug.03 1871 in Melbourne, Australia. No other info. on Mary either.
They had 7 children:Catherine Mabel, John, George Gray, Thomas Hazelton, Ida Winifred, Muriel Elizabeth and Frank Eardley. John and a brother (we don't know which one) joined the Australian troops and were sent to South Africa to fight with the British in the Boer War. John, and we think his brother, stayed in S.A. after the war and worked on the gold mines in Johanesburg, S.A. John subsequently married Mary Florence Sharpe b.Apr.14 1889 and lived in S.A
