You are very generous offering to do free look ups for folk. I got on the SA government website earlier and they wanted to charge me $190 + $9.95 p&p for one marriage certificate ! I have quite extensive information about the men in my family - but I think it's time I learn a little bit more about the women.

My grandmother's maiden name was Shirley Gwedoline Habner. I dont know when or where she was born, though I'm pretty sure it was in SA in the early 20's. She married my grandfather Bryant Garfield Algate who I think was born in 1925 in Kapunda (based on army record on Australian Archives).

I would be very grateful if you could find a record of their marriage and tell the names of their parents and where they were born (if possible).

I know that Bryant's father was Garfield Algate born in 1895 in Broken Hill (this is the line of ancestor's I have information on) and Bryant's mother's maiden name was Elsie May McTaggart/McTaggert who died in 1992. I dont know where or when hey were married.

On a slight tangent - Garfield's father was William T Algate (b 1867 Wembury, Devon, England) married to Alice Maud Tylor in Broken Hill in 1892. If you have information on Alice's birth, passage to australia etc I would also greatly appreciate it.

Anyway, back to my grandparents - my Grandmother Shirley Gwendoline Habner (date/ place birth unknown) if you could find any information on her and her family I would truely appreciate it.

I can't find anything about his parents. Some guess work makes me wonder if his father may have been a James Llewellyn Tiver who was born in Gloucestershire and who settled in Burra, establishing Tiver Cottages; the ages all line up correctly, but I have no way to confirm the link.

The relationship between Edward S Goodfellow and Emily and James Yeates is uncertain.
He was living with them in Wiltshire at the time of the 1851 British census and recorded as "son-in-law".
The "Trafalgar" passenger list records him as "step son".
No record of his birth has been found.
It is possible he may have been either a nephew or a younger brother of Emily's, and adopted by James and Emily.
I have been unable to find a birth record for him.
He married Susan Collins in South Australia on 03 Oct 1864. I have more information about their descendants

Emily Price believed born in Wales about 1845 and died in Adelaide on 6 Dec 1908.
She was married to Richard Deacon in 1873 at St. John Church Adelaide.
She had eight children, one of which, Elizabeth Jane Olive Deacon, was my Grandmother.
This is what I have, right or wrong.

Can you find anything for me please?

I am looking for the Obit of my grandfather Colin James McKenzie, who died on the 5th August 2008. It was publicied on the 11th of August 2008. This is very generous of you. Thank you. I am looking for a Jessie Cameron, born about 1834 in Ross & Cromarty, Scotland. She might have married William Kemp in the United Kingdom and given birth to Donald Kemp about 1858 in Mundulla. She might have then married John William Sandifore 30 July 1866 in Reedy Creek Station, Robe. She died 5 June 1919.
I have one source saying her father's name was Donald, and another giving her parents' names as Alexander and Margaret Mclaren.
Sandiford children include: Jessie, John William, James, Sarah Ann, Louisa, Elilzabeth, Marian, Ann Jane, Ada, and Ada Frances. Were some of these John William's by a previous marriage?

We would love to find out what ship James higgins Hann and his new wife Frances arrived on to Austalia in 1842.They left England as free settlers and their first son George Higgins Hann was born at sea off the coast of NSW in March 1842.We know they resided in Tasmania until they returned to Somerset England sometime in the 1850s.We are not sure what year they reurned,only by that time they had a total of six children.

According to the Biographical Index of South Australia my gggrandmother had five siblings however I can only locate two. The details are as follows:

My cousin was (or is) Georgia McNeill (nee Scott - she is the daughter of George Herbert Scott the airship pioneer) and from another family member's address book, I know that she was living at 35 Second Street, Brompton, Adelaide, 5007 in 1984. I would like some help finding out about William Mitchell and his wife Margaret (nee Downie/Donnie). I have lots of info on their descendants in Australia, but cannot find out where they came from. They arrived on the Java to Adelaide on 6 Feb 1840. I have Margaret's death details for 6 May 1869 at Peachy Belt which does not show her parents or where she was born. Can you help me identify William Mitchell's death, parents, place of birth? Other family trees on the net show various locations in Scotland, but nothing firm.

I am trying to find further information on Joseph Axtell. He arrived in Qld sometime before 1887 from Bedfordshire.He was living in Broken Hill for several years. I believe he was somehow involved with the railway line from Broken hill to SA, moving to SA in 1915. He died in SA in 1947. Trying to trace his movements etc while in SA.

There is a William Henry Pearce born to William Pearce in Clare district but I don't think it's the one you're looking for.
