Hello
I'm in Adelaide, South Australia and for about 10 years now i have been doing free research for people all around the world who want information on family members etc. who came to South Australia in the 1800's. I DO NOT CHARGE for this.
It used to be a hobby, now it is almost an addiction, and I would be happy to research for anyone who wants information re what happened to their family after arriving in South Australia.
Our birth records go from 1842-1928
The marriage records go from 1842-1937
The death marriages only go from 1842-1915, but are in the process of being updated.
Our passenger list information comes from photocopies of the very ORIGINAL passenger lists which were made by the Captain of the ship and handed into the Gov. Dept. here in Adelaide when the ship had arrived in South Australia. The passenger lists show the person's surname, gender, marital status, occupation and age. Obviously, the person's Christian name is almost always on the passenger list, although it is sometimes recorded as Miss, Mrs. etc.
This is a genuine offer. If you would like me to look up any people for you, please feel free to get back to me via my email address, with as much information as you have (although just names is sufficient) and I will be happy to search for you.
This is absolutely free. I love the challenge of searching, and the satisfaction of finding information and sending it off to people overseas.
