Richard Davies born 1830, Maidstone Kent,my ggggrandfather
arrived by ship the Eliza 1856 to S.A. married Mary Theresa
Bird 9th Feb 1856. Lived in S.A. 12mnths Then shifted to Echuca where she died in 1905.

Where does the Edwards fit into your family. I am researching an Edwards in S.A. but you give no clues. More information please.

Unfortunately your Edwards are not the ones I am looking for. I am looking for Walter Edwards, son of John Hitchman Edwards and Mary (nee Batt) who migrated into South Australia in the 1860's.

Fay do you know where Mary Batt came from in England? There were a number of Batt families in SA before 1860 and seh and her husband may have been rels encouraged to come too.
