Can anyone who has access to census records, if there were any then, advise me who was living with Maude Constance Jackson of Black Street Mt.Morgan QLD around September 1921 and further on to 1922.I have had some information that her sister in law was living there at some stage but interested in any males that may been living there.

No census, but electoral rolls are on here.

Hi,
The 1922 Electoral Roll has Maude Constance Jackson at Hamilton Creek Rd, Mount Morgan. The residence numbers were not given and many residents were listed as residing on that Road.

Thanks for that Gerry. The address is a new one to me.I am trying to find out who my father's father was and the census may have been a long shot. Are there any other people living at the same address as Maude Jackson listed on the Electoral roll close to September 1921.

I don't know what the actual address is it is just the road name without numbers and there are many names listed for that road in 1922.
There were 11 x Jacksons on the 1922 ER for Mount Morgan.
2 for Hamilton Creek Road. Maude Constance Katie
1 x Hamilton Creek Horace

Hi, Maude is listed at Hamilton Creek Road in 1913 and in 1922 so it was obviously her main address.. That doesn't mean she was actually living at that address in 1921,,,would mean if she moved she didn't bother changing her contact details with the Electoral office.
Is this her marriage(s) 1907/C2412 Sayers Maud Constance Jackson James 1928/B3010 McDonald William Glasford Jackson Maud Constance

Thanks Kellie, I have a good deal of information on the marriages etc just needed to know if by chance there were any males living with her in 1921/22.I know it is a long shot but my father was born in 1922 and no father was listed on his birth certificate.James Jackson died before he was born. There are some aunties and uncles still living from the 1928 marriage so I don't want to go near there. As I said it is a long shot but you never know something may come of it and thats it for me then, I've worked the rest of the tree out.I think also the address on the birth certificate of Black Street South may have been the location of the hospital.

Hi. My great grandmother was the Maud Jackson you speak of. Her daughter Rose was my father's mother. I have some information about a male living at Hamilton Road after the death of Maud's husband James. He died when logs fell from the bullock drag onto him since they were not chocked properly. I have the court report on the incident. Contact me if you would like to know more. Kelli

Hi Kelli,
Your Grandmother Rose must have been who we called Aunty Lou ? and it has taken a long time to learn this because we were not that close but I can still remember what she looked like.We never got around to seeing relatives much only at funerals etc.I remember going to see our fathers mother Maude probably once when they lived in Brisbane and we were very young. I know about James as I read an articles about his death on TROVE and another article about compensation. My father was born in 1922 in Mt.Morgan and as yet I am still uncertain as to who his father is.
