Oops, yes, he was born in 1845. I mistyped, or perhaps I was thinking of his wifes birth date. His father in Louth was a Chemist and druggist in a shop at the Riverhead, where his father Thomas Laurence was a coal merchant owning warehouses on the Riverhead, and shares in a sloop that Charles Teft may have seen on the Louth Navigation.
