Yes, I've seen that article but Mother Berchmans obit says 'on the current site of the school' which in not correct, as the plans etc for the school started in 1872, before the family moved there from the Old Maitland Hotel (pony club site). But whether the oval was originally part of the school? As an article about the Rocky to Gladstone train line (1901) states that the line will cut through his land (also family story). So in trying to find George Sawyers land is about the only accurate article so far.. I thin George died around 1917..
