Hi,
He was most likely buried in the Belgian Gardens cemetery.
The West End cemetery was opened in 1863, and the Belgian Gardens one in 1910. For only a short time there was an overlap of burials in both.
The Townsville Daily Bulletin has a "thank you" from Mrs A. Wilson in Sept. 1943 on the passing of John Wilson. There is no Death or Funeral notice
Cheers.
