Hi Brian

Saw your mention of "Rackemann", and hope you may be able to assist in my research, and vice versa...............

My main interest lies with descendants of Heinrich Friedrich Ludwig Rackemann ("Ludwig or Louis") who married Amalie Auguste Taebke at Maryborough on 21 February 1889.

Hi Brian

See that you also have an interest in the Rackemann line, mine stems mainly from descendantd of HFL (Ludwig or Louis) Rackemann and Amalie Auguste Taebke in Maryborough on 21 February 1889, and in particular, from their only son, Edward Heinrich Alexander.

Looking forward to hearing from you

NISSEN, Julius... Is he in your family tree? Born Denmark 1865, emigrated to USA with parents in 1882. Emigrated from there alone to Australia. Apparently was somewhere there as late as 1916. Seeking any info. about him in Australia. Thanks. Ed Nissen

Hello

I am researching my family history and your query regarding Louis Himel Fredrick Rackemann and Amalie Auguste Taebke matches my family info. I am a direct descendant of Rosalie Maria Taebke (Amalie Auguste Taebke's sister) and Abraham Zimmerlie. Any info you would be able to give me on the descendants and possibly the ancestors of Amalie and Louis would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Renee H,
The best person to direct your request to is Arthur Butler, whom you will see responded to me quite some time ago, if you read the thread from my original posting.
He is one of your nearer and dearer relatives, and I would trust that he would enjoy your contacting him, whereas I am not of a direct bloodline, but more a keeper of information for those of my cousins who are.
He has done most of the hard yards, and it is really his prerogative to discuss these matters with you.
However, if, perchance, he is unavailable or uncontactable, then please come back to me & I will then assist you tit for tat, and relay information to him.
Kind regards,
Brian L.

Hi
I am looking into my husband's family tree and it would appear that his great grandfather was Carl Ludwick Taebke, son of Rosalie and Friedrick Taebke. Any information would be appreciated regarding other branches of the family. Also, happy to provide info on what is known in this branch of the family.

Sorry to hear about your missing twigs!
I might be able to help with the Vine branch.
My grandfather was Ernest Toby Vine born c. 1895 in Hughenden Qld.
Hi siblings were, George, Claude, Ron, Hazel, Lex and Eilene.
I don't have his father's name, but his mother was Agnes Hoff.
They were RC by religion, and I don't know how long the family had been in Hughenden when my grandfather was born.
I understand that his father or grandfather was the Habour Master at Moonie Ponds Melbourne.
Regards,
Bill Vine

Hi Arthur

Only recently got into finding out more about the Rackemann family history. Im a descendant of HFL (Ludwig or Louis) Rackemann and Amalie Auguste Taebke. Their only son E.H.A Rackemann was my great-grandfather, his son Richard Rackemann was my grandfather and his son Chris is my dad.
