I am looking for the children of Thomas and Mary who were from Waterford Ireland.
I know they had a large family - one their daughters was called Hannah and the youngest son called Patrick.
Hannah married Daniel Favel Salloway - they had 2 children
Patrick never married but lived with Hannah in Charleville and he died in Brisbane
They spent a lot of time in Qld around Roma - Surrat and Charleville.
After Mary died Thomas remarried and the children from the first marriage were split up and sent to family relatives to be raised -
I think one of the other daughters was called Kate - Katherine?

Hi petamccabe,

Re... "Hannah married Daniel Favel Salloway - they had 2 children"

Marriage registration in NSW in 1912:

5143/1912 SALLAWAY DANIEL F MORRISSEY HANNAH M J BOURKE

That is strange; in 1914, Patrick MORRISSEY listed his sister, Hannah, as next of kin, but with her maiden name.
Another website states, Sister, Mrs Hannah Saloway, Eromanga, Qld, as NOK. He returned to Australia, on 10.03.1918.

Maybe, marriage of another sister in 1916, in NSW??

Hi, Thomas George Morrissey was the son of Thomas & Mary and he was my Grandfather. He was born 1896 in Wilcannia NSW died 30-12-1949 at Surat Qld. I didn't meet any of his siblings except my Aunt Kate who lived on a property outside Surat and had married Ernest Hamilton Simpson in1913. Mum talked about Uncle Paddy, Uncle Jack(?); aunty Hannah and an Aunt Cissy(?). I think the family was scattered and Thomas who had lived with a doctor and his wife and thought he was Thomas Robertson found out he was a Morrissey at age 16 and then went off to find his siblings - I'm not sure how many he found. I'd be interested in any information you might have. Mum also talked about Olive who lived in the states

I am very interested in discussing the Morrissey family further with you -
I only have limited info on Hannah and Uncle Paddy.
But I can fill in the gaps in regards to Hannah children Olive and Mary - was my grandmother.
